This sculpture uses clay and a complimentary color scheme. For this piece I first sculpted the head before hollowing it out and attaching it to the hollow body. The legs and tail were attached before securing it to the base. This was inspired by my Grandmother's yellow lab and combined it with my special alterations. My goal was to create a realistic piece that had a fictional element and to re-learn how to use clay. This artwork was better than I thought it could and will help with future sculpture creations.
I am a freshman at VMCCA. My program area is SGD and am currently working on animations. I enjoy making art and love to explore other mediums. I hope that this will help my future artworks improve.
