1/2 Sarah PortraitArtist's Statement
This artwork has Sarah divided in two to show differences between the two sides of her. The left-side was made with watercolor pencils and the right was made with ink and calligraphy pens. This artwork is a piece inspired by pictures that have one half replaced by line art. This helped me learn more about watercolor and ink mediums. I wish that I could have used gray for the skin on the ink instead of leaving it white, but I am still pleased with how the piece worked out and the message it portrays. This also helped with making sure I was able to draw different faces and avoid having the same face with different hair. Comments are closed.
